BTW, am seeking an Active Retention holder.
A passive retention holster works to keep the gun from falling out of the holster. An Active Retention holster is needed to retain the gun in the holster when someone else tries to get to the gun.

Realizing this is a necro thread and that I am new around here, I can recommend a Blackhawk Serpa CQB. I have safely used them for nearly a decade with Taurus PT145 Mil-Pro, Springfield XD, and Glock 23. I know many LEO types who use them as their duty rig. It works as belt slide or paddle (I prefer paddle if concealing because it tucks closer to my side). Using a Serpa necessitates training with it. Any safety issues reflect poor user interface and not understanding of the system.
