Per a news release dated 3-10-2017.

Gander Mountain, Subsidiaries File for Chapter 11 Reorganization

ST. PAUL, March 10, 2017 – Gander Mountain Company announced today that, to maximize the opportunity to achieve a "going-concern" sale of its business, it and certain of its subsidiaries have filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code.

Yikes my local store is slated to close.
I'll need to stock up with my favorite powders.

Not surprised GM is going out of business here in Montgomery, AL. Place was never busy to start with and then they got caught putting items on the sale shelf marked down and trying to charge full price at checkout. Staff was clueless too- especially in Gun Dept.

Yup, the store close to my home is closing with up to 30% off on everything. Even with the 30% off, their prices are way too high as compared to Academy.
