My shotguns

Postby bikerlbf406 » Sat Feb 08, 2014 3:36 am

I have a Mossberg 500C 20 gauge. I bought it used with factory wood stock & forend. The stock had a crack in it. I decided to replace it with an adjustable stock with pistol grip. That in return led me to want to turn it in to a tactical shotgun. So I set out on that mission. Replaced the 26" barrel with an 18.5" barrel. Finally after numerous hours of research found a black forearm with tri rail pictanny rail mount made for the 20 gauge, and then found me a 7 way position vertical/horizontal folding front grip. Also had a plain black sling strap to it. Shotgun is now complete. First picture is comparison of stock when I bought it to a now picture. The 4th & 5th picture is of my Mossberg 500 as it is now along with my Winchester 1400 MKII 12 gauge.

You gotta love a nice shotgun. Without a doubt one of the most versatile of firearms.

Out of my collection, here is the one I consider the most unusual. It is a Model 12 in 12 gauge and produced in 1916.

The gun was heavily modified back in the 1960's by a gunsmith with the name of Mr. Harry Dell. He is diseased but supposedly performed work for John Wayne.

Mr. Dell shortened the barrel to 18 1/2" and did a great job on the nickel plating. The pictures do not do it justice.
