A New to Me S&W Model 66-2 Revolver

Postby lamarw » Thu Jul 07, 2016 1:18 pm

As many of you know, I have a thing for older S&W revolvers. This one is not too old, but it is far from new since it was manufactured in 1982. It is a Combat Magnum Stainless .357 Model 66-2.

It was rather filthy when I saw it at the auction. Being dirty, may of helped me win it. It cleaned up nicely and looks as though it has seen very few rounds down range. I suspect it just laid around in a drawer for a lot of years.

Here are the pictures:

Nice, that will be a handful with .357 ammo.

Nice - congrats.
It's not the blast that kills you - It's the tumble to the bottom of the 800 foot crater.....

Congrats on a great piece ! I shoulder rig CC my model 19 snub and a bear if i needed to run after a perp ! performed great with 125 grain jacketed hollow point and was more controllable than the 158 grain loads.
