CPX > B6P > G2c

I've owned a dozen or so handguns in my life, but hadn't shot much for a couple decades, mainly for lack of access to outdoor ranges. The local indoor range was just too snobby for me to enjoy, so that desire lapsed. (When looking for excuses, any one will do.) Then, four years ago I learned that a casual outdoor spot where we used to camp/hunt, had since been improved and maintained by the state parks department, as a modern shooting range. Since then, I've purchased these three weapons.

2014 - I had a 9mm SCCY CPX-2TT (3", 10+1, 520rds). I sold its replacement for $48 less than I originally paid. I tried to enjoyed it, until I didn't anymore. I wasn't lucky enough to get a good one. It was an early vintage sn:130xxx. Perhaps they're better now. I certainly don't read as many new complaints on this forum, ever since SCCY finally attempted to improve its weakest link ... the tiny slippery frame pins. Perhaps they've silently made other improvements as well.

2016 - Then I had a 9mm EAA SAR B6P (4.5", 17+1, 550rds). I sold it for $2 less than I originally paid. It was a great gun, an inexpensive CZ75 variant ... it NEVER failed. I recommend to anyone, that full-size handguns are by far easier to shoot, and offer a much greater platform to improve shooting skills, before opting for more compact sizes.

2018 - I now own a 9mm Taurus G2c (NIB, $180 shipped + $25 FFL). I couldn't resist the low price. I had previously enjoyed shooting my brother's Millenium G2. I'm hoping that this latest model performs as well as its outstanding reputation predicts.

I have had a PT111 for several years. Never a problem, so couldn't understand what this trigger problem was all about. Is my choice of carry unless I am wearing shorts.

The first time I fired my brothers G2, nothing happened, and I racked out a hot round. That's a very typical reaction for first shot. I simply didn't pull the trigger back far enough. It took a short while, but soon became familiar with the deep break. Then began to recognize how quickly it returned to target for followup shots, and how accurate it was a PD distance. That gun never failed. For a cheap gun at a cheap price, it's easily best in class. Just gambling that I got a good one, like any gun.

I installed a Hogue Beavertail Grip Sleeve, and expect a new holster to arrive tomorrow.

Bulldog MLB-Large ... $16 eBay ... Fits my PT111-G2c perfectly ... Very pleased.
It's a Molded Leather Belt-slide holster, universal fit for large frame pistols.
OWB, canted forward, rides high & close to body, comfortable while seated.
Two leather belt slots, belt still uses the 3 o'clock pants loop, slides to position on 1-1/2" belt.
