new CPX-2 owner - question about trigger tip

Postby ndnchf » Thu Mar 24, 2016 5:39 pm

I bought a new CPX-2 yesterday and ran nearly 100 rounds through it this morning. It shot great and I'm very pleased with it. But I noticed that the tip of the trigger seems to dig into my trigger finger. My buddy shot it and noted the same thing. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm thinking about sanding the tip a little to round it a bit and smooth it up. What do you all think? I can try to hold my finger a little higher, but it keeps ending up at the bottom. Appreciate your thoughts.

How did sanding the tip make your finger hurt? Did you make it sharper rather than rounder? Sorry, just trying to understand. Thanks.

You have a DAO pistol. Finger 'tip' is not the way to utilize the trigger. Did you ever fire a revolver? same technique.

I found the edges kind of sharp on my trigger. I used a razor knife to bevel the outer edges a bit. That helped a lot.
It's not the blast that kills you - It's the tumble to the bottom of the 800 foot crater.....

Thanks for the replies guys. Sorry I missed the humor Parkerd, as a new guy here I was not expecting a tongue in cheek reply to a serious question.

Put heat shrink wrap over the trigger.
