Got my July issue with a nice write up on the CPX-3. Hate to start something, but any news on release date?

Silverbullet re: release Date. On 05.03.17 I emailed SCCY Service that same question, got a reply on 05.08.17 from SCCY Sales Team stating simply "We were told June / July of this year for full release. Also I'm new here and am curious... you mentioned July Issue. July Issue of what?

I emailed SCCY to ask the same question about the release date of the CPX-3 once a year since 2014. They gave me some imaginary dates in 2014 and 2015 then ignored my 2016 and 2017 emails. I got a .380 pistol from a better known manufacturer instead. I am still interested in the CPX-3 given that the CPX-1 and CPX-2 are great little handguns.

I still come up with the same question. Why would anyone want a .380 in the same size as a full power 9mm?? Certainly not for concealed carry, unless the recoil reduction would be really noticeable. I carry a compact .380 in a pocket holster because it's very concealable in a pocket. I carry a SCCY in a belt holster because it's not. Given a choice between a 9mm and a .380 of the same size, I'd choose the 9mm. Just my 2 cents.

I want the CPX-3 so my lady can try it and I would like to see how well the Quad-Lock system would work on small pistols. The CPX-1 and CPX-2 are a bit hard for my wife to rack the slides. My EDC are the Taurus PT145 Pro and 24/7 G2C .45 so recoils from the compacts .45 don't bother me. Image

Not sure the CPX-3 will be any easier to rack. It's supposed to use many of the same parts as the 1\2.

Thanks for the info. I read from one of the online reviews on the pre-production unit that the CPX-3 was easy to rack but you're probably correct due to the similarities of the CPX pistols. I'm still interested in the CPX-3, though, even though we still have no firm release date.

TXSCCY - Well, it's all just rumor till the pistol is actually released so we don't really know how many parts the 3 pistols will share. What I've heard may be right - or not - we'll see. Hopefully the CPX-3 will be available soon. 8)

Just got home from the Gun Barn at Rural King... and my friend that works there just got back from a private firearm show... sponsored by Rural King... and SCCY was one of the vendors there. He got to shoot the CPX-3... took some pictures as well. Said it shot well... but he has never shot the CPX-2... so he couldn't compare.

Reading the specs, it is a little smaller than the CPX. It would fit a pocket way better than the CPX.

Nope, but 3kt's&asccy sure had a good point.

Why have a stupid "caliber war" arguement? I thought we were talking about the CPX-3? :?

Even a .22 will damage the flesh when enough rounds is fired on target.
