That's crazy cheap for a good quality carry gun.

I looked at the top ad on GunBroker. It’s for a bid of $159.99 from “mrgundealer_com”.

The other info in the listing states:
“The above prices on this item reflect a 3% cash/check discount. This discount is not valid for credit card purchases. Add 3% to the total cost for credit card purchases.” – So the minimum credit card price is at least $164.79. I don’t know about you but I always use a credit card so I get the protections mandated by the federal and state laws covering credit card purchases.

“Shipping charges are $35 per firearm for the lower 48 states unless otherwise noted. This charge represents the cost of the shipping label, warehouse employee costs, and packing material costs for your item. Alaska and Hawaii will incur an additional $30 fee. Shipping insurance can be purchased for an additional 1.5% of the purchase price.” – So the minimum initial price including insurance becomes $202.27.

And don’t forget about transfer fees. Those can be high. Around here the average is about $35 for a pistol.

So, the real minimum price is $237.27. That's still a pretty good price "out the door" but is a lot higher than the advertized $159.99.

If you scroll down to preppergunshop.com's ad, they're selling SCCYs at 189.99 with FREE shipping. Doesn't mention anything about credit cards fees.

It looks like the best deal is $189.99 w/preppergunshop. Thanks adam01364.

The ones from mrgundealer_com were incorrectly listed on gunwatcher.com showing free shipping with a "true price" of $164.79 (buy it now price of $159.99 + $4.80 in fees). As pointed out by getvicious, the shipping isn't free. Thanks, getvicious.

I've contacted gunwatcher.com and brought that to their attention. Here is their very prompt and courteous response:

Thank you for your email! I have corrected the issue with Mrgundealer, and all of those listing should update soon. I really appreciate the head's up!

As for Gunbroker, the problem is a little more complicated. The issue is the shipping can link to another page, or it can be whatever the person listed it as, wherever they list it. Gunwatcher goes in, finds the item and cannot "find" the shipping in the manner it is looking for it so it is listing it as free. We are currently looking for a solution and working with Gunbroker. I hope to have a fix in place soon!

If there is anything else that I can do for you please don't hesitate to let me know!

I saw some at a gun shop today priced at $199. I thought they may have been used at that price, but they looked new. The place was busy so I never got to talk to anyone. Last week they were still $259 at another shop. Why the drop in price, I wonder?

Several places have been offering CPX1 / 2 pistols for $199.99 in the past year or so.

my lgs/indoor range is not a SCCY dealer, i asked them if they could order me a CPX3 or if not available a CPX2. They said they called SCCY who said they were advertising it, but not shipping any yet due to difficulties... They ordered me a CPX2 for $209.99 no transfer fees, just sales tax and NICS fee. They said I should have it by end of next week.

Best price hands down... BUD`s GUNSHOP in Kentucky is selling them for $189.00 w/free shipping to your FFL dealer. I paid a total out the price for my CPX 2 $225.00 BUD`s is pretty hard to beat on any firearm purchase, as they must buy in bulk and get a big discount .

potmetal asks, "Why the drop in price I wonder"? We have Donald Trump now in DC. No worry about firearm restrictions now as in the Obama era. Gun manufactures are offering discounts because the mood of the nation does not refelect a need to stock up because gun control folks are having less affect
on the control of firearms in America. Therefore less sudden demand of the public to purchase requires manufactures to decrease prices in order to maintain
production run numbers to exceed last years totals and retain investment stockholders in their company. As the market goes up maybe gun prices will lessen.

Not only did that firearms neative and unintelligent DC guru retire, but isn't it a positive situation that conceal carry reciprocity 'nation wide' is being brought up in DC? Bet it gets done. Whadda you think?

Must correct mis-spelled word in last entry. The correct spelling in beginning sentence is "NEGATIVE" not neative. Sorry for my slippery typing.............

Latest report in the financial section of otdays paper, American Outdoor Brands Corp. (Simth & Wesson) sales are down (-12%) this year. Wonder if they will put items on sale with discounted prices to boost volume and improve numbers. Other companys following to keep in the race??
