Friends 1st experience

I have a long time friend who decided to get a SCCY (Dark Earth / Black)
He showed it to me, and I could not get the slide off...
He took it back to the store and the gunsmith got the slide to come off, shot a mag through it, and it functioned fine.
Friend shot 2 mags out of it.. What he noticed, IF he rapid fired, the gun worked fine.
IF he tried to pre-stage the hammer and slowly squeezed the trigger, the trigger would go all the way back, but would not drop the hammer..
Once again, he returned it to the store..
The store sent it out on Friday to SCCY..
He had the gun back on Tuesday..
It seems to be working fine now..
Slide comes off and pre-stage squeeze seems to work fine..
He will fire it again tomorrow to make sure it is 100%

He is a little disheartened with his experience, but super impressed with SCCY's willingness to fix the issue so quickly...
IF there are any more issues, I will let you know..

Thanx for asking..
The gun came back, and disassembles fine.. Trigger feels great (his words)
Before he got a chance to shoot it, he had a health scare and surgery..
So, he has not had a chance to shoot it yet..
Probably another month...

I know just about any Glock will have a light strike when the trigger is slowly pulled. My daughters would have them all the time with their G19s when slow firing for small groups. When they were just slapping the trigger and getting rounds on target as fast as they can, it ran like a Glock should. So it’s not just a SCCY problem.

I had a $100 Colt Defender TALO go back three times before I got 200 rounds through it. Buds Ruger GP100 44Special has never worked right and was repurchased by Ruger. He still has the original box of 50 he bought the day he purchased it. Still over half full. It’s not a SCCY only problem.

Never understood it. People will pay high end for a custom 1911 and it has to be broken in and “tweaked” to get it to run decent. But that’s just a “fluke”. But a SCCY bobbles once and the whole mess of them are junk! Weird.

Hope Don is feeling better.
