Merc6, surely you didn't think the CPX would shoot like a 1911 ???

Lol I didn't think it would fire exactly like my 1911. I was saying even tho it fires nothing at all like it (.45 1911 feels like a .22 rimfire) I still miss fireing it. Having owned a Glock 22 the Sccy fires in between the 2 "recoil wise". If I had to compare the Glock to the Sccy:
*Plastic recievers
*Lightweight feel
*Loose tolerances
*Much felt recoil.

Trigger wise 1911 > G 22 > Nerf gun > 8 shot plastic cap gun > Sccy.

So Merc6, are you actually trying to prove a point with the 1911 vid ? Anyone that has been around handguns for awhile know that the trigger is single action and the pull is usually somewhere around 5 pounds on most 1911's. There is zero comparison between a 1911 and a CPX ... zero, period.

Was making sure cause we had a CPX2 compared to a Glock a little bit ago.

Got all but the slide lock so I'll wait for that to pull and install the new pins. The guide rod they sent is like 2xs the strength of the one I have. Before the old one would make noise when I shake the gun (unloaded). I wonder if that would fix FTF? Still gonna polish the ramp and possibly the whole barrel. Playing around with the shims idea when I rep in it to see if that fixes the slide wobble.

2. New one is harder to compress where old one the outer spring comes down super far with ease. Installed the new rod and cocking it was quite stiffer than before.

My recoil assembly had also been updated with noticeably stronger springs, after 200 rounds, the first time it came back from sccy.

Half tempted to just run it and see how it goes new mags, pins, and rod. From the sounds of it, that old style slide lock may take some time to surface then the shop to even tell me it's in.

Abandoned the slide lock idea for now, not gonna wait forever for it to turn up halfway across town.

Oversized pins is an understatement, soo much fun to get those in the frame. I don't think they are going anywhere. I may still put a dab of something on the ends to make sure.

Intended to polish the feed ramp, didn't stop there and did the whole barrel. Didn't finish in time so I will try and shoot tomorrow and see how it goes.

It was pretty scratched/gouged up already. Worse case I found more barrels here and there online. I was gonna buy one and then polish it but just went ahead.
