NEWBIE FROM WI

Postby deadeye8 » Thu Feb 16, 2017 7:58 am

New SSCY-2 owner here I shoot USPSA with a 1911, I own a XDM, Ruger Blackhawk and Colt single action army. In the past I have shot high power rifle across the course and won the WI state championship twice. I also won the 1000 yard Team match once. I handload most all my ammo have started to load 9mm..

My Sccy seems to be a fussy feeder out of the box I hope it runs in it wont feed my handloads at all and the only defense ammo it will feed is Hornady critical Duty. If I can get it to feed more reliably it will become my EDC due to size.

Thoughts on the reason behind your suggestion.. I took the mags apart last night and cleaned them but will need to try and shoot it to see?

deadeye8 - Howdy and welcome from NC. Glad you found us.

Perhaps try polishing the feed ramp?

Let us know what corrects your ammo "sensitivity" issue.

I called SCCY this morning and they are sending me 2 new mags and a new Barrel as its shooting 2" low at 12 feet. The rounds are just crashing into the feed-ramp area. I' ll update after i have time to play with it. There customer service seems great so far!!!
