Tools, lubes, cleaners and spare parts

Do any of you carry this stuff to the range with you? Keep it at home?

I put mine together a few months ago and seem to add things as I go.

Naa.... I mostly shoot Taurus products so I don't need to bring my tools to the range. LOL :D

Hey GoesBang - would you consider yourself a prepper? I have the same type of stuff you have, but I shoot in my back "yard" - when I go to a friends house to shoot I take some things. It seems we always wind up sitting around cleaning, or tweaking and talking afterwards. I am a prepper (8 years as an ICBM Launch Office, Command Post Chief and Planner will do that to a person) and like to have what I might need handy.

I would make one suggestion - your hammer - I got a hammer with a short handle and it saves a lot of space in my guns tool box and is easier to use on guns (for me).

Something like these:

It's not the blast that kills you - It's the tumble to the bottom of the 800 foot crater.....

Not a prepper, but slowly waiting for that SHTF moment.

I've always been a DIY kinda guy so I love tools. My fiancée loves tools too.

The hammer is plenty small for the bag it's in. I might try and find a brass headed or dead blow at some point in time.

That's a nice kit. I keep all my tools (used for just about everything) at home, in one place and as organized as possible (note I did not say organized  ). I work/have worked on other stuff like electric guitars, electronics, and bicycle derailleurs, and use many of the same tools on some or all of them, so this works out best for me.

Me, too. I inspect my before making a trip and clean and inspect after I get back home.

The kit does serve other purposes when I'm home.

Since I carry the spare parts in the bag, it's good insurance at the range knowing I can probably fix most malfunctions and be back shooting again soon.
