I bought a CPX2 because my wife liked it (it is a pink frame) and I needed to get something she could start learning with. I took it out to the range to run it some as she is not yet ready to to do herself.
I had two issues, and aside from these two things I really like the gun. Its a great value gun.
Issue #1 - One of the magazines is faulty and the slide would not lock open on empty.
Issue #2 - Shots were way high, by 4-6 inches at 6 yards. I'm not the most qualified marksman but I can put them where I want them at this distance.
I called SCCY a day later and spoke with their customer service then also with an engineer. They asked for the serial number and a shipping address. A few days later I received a new magazine and a new rear sight labeled "short".
I put the new rear sight on and headed out to the range with both the original magazine that worked and the new magazine that replaces the faulty one. The gun ran great. Slide locked open with both magazines and the hits were right where I expected them to be. I had one malfunction, a stovepipe (with a live round). I was shooting some ammo I'm not familiar with and only ran 50 rounds so I really can't say it was the gun. I had run 70 - 80 rounds of a reputable brand ammo through it with no stovepipes so it could very well have just been the ammo. I did toss the stovepipe back in at the end and it fired just fine. Jury is out on that one so I'll write an update after I've run it some more.
So far I have about 150 rounds through it and I plan to run it much more.
For the price point I'm impressed with the pistols performance and with their customer support.
