Make it easier to rack the slide

Postby getvicious » Sun May 31, 2015 10:57 pm

I picked up a "rack-it" a while back to help my wife rack the slide. I got the 5/8" model to work with her FireStorm 380 which should work for the CPX. You might check it out at http://www.facebook.com/RACKLLC or http://rack-it.org/.

Seems to be a good product. Simple and works well.

It would make the most sense , if one can't rack the slide you need to get a revolver. That would eliminate the problem.

Ya gotta love Yankee ingenuity. I don't have trouble racking my slide, but if I did I would buy this tool. I hope the guy makes a million $.

i agree that you've gotta work on being able to rack the slide. it seems to me that every semi auto gun owner should be able to TAP, RACK, BANG just in case....just keep working on racking the slide.....can even practice holding the slide and pushing down on the grip.........

To see how much of this force needed is cocking the hammer, remove recoil spring and rack the slide. First 1/8" is just moving the hammer. Does sloping the end of the hammer ramp, as suggested elsewhere, affect how early slide comes out of battery while making it much easier to start slide racking?
