And it Broke

Postby hermdiggle » Mon Oct 24, 2016 2:59 pm

Not too thrilled with my CPX2 at the moment. Yesterday had 4 stovepipes and 2 failures to extract. Found this when I went to clean it this morning. Called and I have to send it in on my dime. UGH

hermdiggle - Call SCCY back and ask them to send you a replacement ejector. Those are easy to replace. There are instructions in the forum and probably on You Tube. You might ask for two ejectors so you'll have a spare for when the replacement breaks sometime in the future.

The ejector is the same on Gen 1 CPX-1's, Gen 2 CPX-1's and Gen 2 CPX-2's. They're all the same.

might not be a good buy as SCCY seems to be unwilling to pay for shipping any more

Do other firearms makers pay for shipping both ways for the life of a weapon?

S&W and Springfield do. Ruger often will... although they have no "implied" warranty on their firearms.

That'd be a deal breaker.

Curious to know the reason for the two arrows pointing to the rails in your first photo.
Is there other damage, besides the broken ejector, which may not be as obvious?

Also ...
What reason did they give (if any) or imply for not paying the shipping cost?
Was it purchased new, or used? ... How old is it? ... SN prefix (???xxx) ... How many rounds has it fired?

Go Cubs!

Yeah that, sounds like they been eating too much shipping all these broke guns back. I'm half tempted to send mine back since they told me to super glue the oversized pins in 200 rounds before my ejector broke.

Company's going under, and probably pretty soon. They've actually put the CPX-3 in their 2017 catalog, but they still refuse to answer questions about the gun's release date on either Facebook or Instagram. The negative publicity about "genius' Joe Roebuck's idiotic "Quad-Lock" would just be the straw that broke the camel's back.
