How many rounds you think you got through yours? I just bought a second CPX-2 today...this one is FDE frame, but matt stainless slide. My original one has the same grip frame, but a black slide.

I would say I have around 450-500 rounds through my original one, and will go to the range on Sunday, after church, and put at least 50 rounds through the new one.

Hi sccytoter ... Wondering, are the frame pins in your new cpx larger than the frame pins in your older one? Seems they may have grown somewhere around 400xxx, from old 3/32 x 15/16" to perhaps new 1/8 x 1". Thanks.

Yes, they are. That was one of the first things I noticed, while looking at it in the gun shop. Guess SCCY got tired of sending out replacement pins, that didn't "walk". I have had no problems with my original pistol yet though.

These larger frame pins, first recognized 5 mo's ago, are hopefully an effective remedy for six years of assorted failures.
The tiny old slippery pins, introduced in 2011 with the 2nd gen frame, had been a recurring problem from the start.

This subtle improvement has gone virtually unnoticed, since so few users possess both types for hands-on comparison.
Thanks sccytoter and 3PICF4IL ... viewtopic.php?f=18&t=19055#p55635
