Ammo In Stock

Postby lionround » Sat Jun 22, 2013 9:11 am

Midway has this: Winchester USA Ammunition 9mm Luger 115 Grain Full Metal Jacket Box of 100 for 28.99 plus shipping. That's .30/round.

I have never ordered from there and don't know what their shipping is. Limit 1 box so the shipping may be a deal killer.

Shipping usually is the deal breaker on ammo. Especially with the limits on the number of boxes. That brings the price/round too high. At least it seems ammo is coming around more often, good sign?

Hope so. I posted in another subject how CTD has suddenly dropped all of their ammo prices down to earlier levels.

On another note, wifey scored us a 100-rd box of Federal 9mm today at Wal-Mart. She said the shelves were looking much fuller today. WINNING!

That used to be a great buy at $19.97 here. I saw some a while ago for $21.97 (if I recall correctly). If you don't mind saying, how much did your wife pay for the ammo?

I found the new pricing via http://www.gunbot.net, then went to their site to confirm. Here's what I see right now offered by CTD (just a few)...

9x19mm TulFMJ 115 Grain 50 Round Box 1150 fps Made in Russia Polymer Coated Steel Case TA919150 $0.38/rd [$19.19]
9mm Armscor USA FMJ 124 Grain 50 Round Box 1090 fps Practice And Target Ammunition 50041 $0.38/rd [$19.19]

There are a few more items out there as well.

FYI also finding that Bass Pro Shops' shelves are much more full these days. I picked up 200 rounds of Winchester SXZ ammo for $16.99/box, and they had plenty more. I think things are finally looking up.

Been having decent luck here in Jacksonville, FL at Walmart (have about 8 to pick from). 2 weeks ago picked up up 2 100 round boxes of Federal Premium 115 gr FMJ for $22.47 a box. Also lucky enough to have a Academy Sports, you have to catch them on the day after they receive their delivery, but I picked up 2 50 round boxes of Monarch 115gr FMJ brass for 12.99 each. They also carry Blazer Brass 115gr FMJ for 13.99 for 50.

Before the "shortage" those were priced $19.97 here. Assuming it's the same price here as there now gives a 12.5% price increase in a year. Wish my paycheck did that.... 8)

At least Walmart isn't price gouging like a lot of places you see on line. You have to admit 22.5 cents a round isn't bad, plus if you find it in the store you don't pay to ship.Places online charging 50 or 60 cents a round for range ammo is ridiculous. but....... :bdh:

Been watching the http://www.ammo-can.net past several weeks. Think I saw it posted here somewhere. Anyway noticed the a few Walmart's in my area were listed as having 9mm in stock over the past few days. The site has failed me in the past but figured what the heck. First one I went to had 1 50rd box of Winchester White box, about 6 of the 50rd Federal Red box and I think 1-2 of the 100 rd Federal Red box. Picked up the Winchester at $13.67 and the 2 box's of the 50rd Federal for $14.67 each. Wish I could have afforded to pick up more. I believe I'm to 250 rds in house now. Oh well, it's a good start.

Sunday Aug 26, 2013
Next day went to a different Walmart and picked up a 100 rnd box of Federal red box for $24. I either got lucky this weekend or things are looking better around here also. Guess I'll have to go to the range next weekend.

You are way ahead of my Wal-Mart... They had two boxes of 40's yesterday. I haven't seen 9mm for months and months...
