+P Cor Bon

Anyone shoot this ammo? Cor Bon Glaser polymer tip.
My oldest son put it in my Christmas stocking. I still haven't got the chance to shoot the new SCCY. Weather is too cold and crappy.

IMO that ammo is a little hot to shoot thru the SCCY, I would stick with normal pressure loads.

Thanks for the input.
Doing a little reading and see where feeding the SCCY a steady diet of +P is not good. I will run a mag through for function check and keep a full mag for carry. I normally have defensive rounds in the first mag loaded in my EDC, and FMJ ammo in my back up magazines. I am a believer in carrying extra rounds that will have enough penetrating power to make it through a windshield or door if needed.

Good setup, that's how I have my extra mag loaded for my 40 s&w CCW, 180 gr fmj and main mag Hornady Zomdie Max :D

Carry bonded ammo. It will penetrate and remain intact.
Will you have enough time to dump a mag of one type ammo so you can switch to another type to defeat a barrier?

Federal HST and winchester's PDX1 are well known to be effective againest hardened barriers.

I plan on hand loading some Hornady XTP for self defense rounds. I prefer them over just about anything I have shot and they are a good all around bullet. They have stopping power and offer good penetration. I use them in my .45 ACP and for hunting big game I load them for my two .44 mag pistols and lever gun.

The only thing is the use of FMJ or similar to defeat car doors, barricades and/or windshields would be pretty rare in a self-defense situation IMO.
