The focus is blurry to me and hard to decipher the piece of brass. What is the caliber and what gun fired it? Are you sure it was not dented from striking something after ejection from the firearm? Did you have a number of pieces with the same identical dent?

No, I do not typically see brass with this type of dent. I have received brass from buying "once fired brass" that was more prone to have an indention toward the lip of the brass vs. in the center of the brass.

One could assume it's a 9mm fired from a sccy.

I haven't seen dented brass personally and my family always collects used brass. I have no idea why yours dented but I know the sccy has a sloppy design regarding ejection in general.

Mine puts deep gouges in the cases but never dents.

I would be rather upset if my CPX-2, or any of my other firearms, caused damage to brass. This is coming a person who reloads.

I can only suggest both of you send pictures and ask SCCY what is going on, and what needs to be done to prevent damage to the brass by the firearm.

I dont reload so dented brass no big deal--its been back to SCCY twice with mixed results-heck this is the best its run- 80rds 124g fmj no ftf-fte-no brass to the face............throw it and a box of ammo in the truck and move on to a ????? And it will not be a SCCY................................
