SmartCarry holster

Postby Roccoman » Tue Aug 05, 2008 8:03 pm

Just for your information, I have a medium smartcarry holster and the cpx fits perfect in it. I put the holster on under my gym shorts and carry my cpx when I ride my mountain bike with my family. And you can't see a thing! Take care! Scott

I have looked at the Smartcarry holster, and have wondered if it is a comfortable as people say. You say a medium is the right size for the CPX-1?

I bought the medium for my glock 23 but the cpx fits perfect too. You would have to visit the smartcarry website to order the correct hip size. There are many holsters that offer a better carry and draw time but I feel that there is nothing out there that will let you carry while wearing gym shorts or sweat pants without printing too much. Remember, Having a gun on you is one of the first steps to protecting you and others. This holster allows you to carry no matter what you are wearing. Hope this helps.

Smart Carry

Postby PPK » Thu Jan 01, 2009 9:32 pm

I love the SmartCarry holster.  Used it with a Ruger SP101 2" .357 and a Beretta 9000s.  Both are pretty thick guns.  Not sure how wide the revolver is  but the Beretta is 1.7" wide across the safety.  Also use a few different IWBs.  The High Noon Split Decision tuckable is my favorite.  Right now I'm looking forward to my new Beltman belt to get here.  Should be within the next couple of weeks.

I just ordered one for my Skyy. Looking forward to getting it. I want something that I can wear when putzing around the house in my sweats. I wear slacks during the day, but when I get home, I want comfort. (I'm not allowed to carry at work, nor have a gun in my car, so carrying during work is not an option. :x )

I ordered a Smart Carry yesterday. Should be here next week. I am going to Houston the week of June 10th to visit family and will be driving. My family is VERY liberal so I needed something deep conceal.

I will report back after the trip.

It's always some excuse or another with you, isn't it! "I have to get it first", like that makes any since...

Well, I ordered my Smart Carry the Thursday before Memorial day. I got it Tuesday, but it would have been here Monday according to the tracking number but of course that was a holiday.

No pics yet. I am not allowed to wear at work or to leave it in my car (I work in a Federal building), so I don't carry much during the week. What time I have had it on once I found the "sweet spot", it is extremely comfortable. The draw is a little slow, but I think that will improve with practice.

So far, I highly approve.

I just got back last night from a 5 day trip to Houston. I wore the Smart Carry driving both directions as well as everywhere I went for the 3 days we were there. It is so comfortable, there were times I almost forgot it was there. The only problem I had with it is I had to use a stall in public restrooms. No urinals here. That's probably not a bad thing since otherwise you are standing with your back to the room, etc. So, other than that, I am very pleased with it.
