My father and every one of my uncles served in the military during WW2. "Great Generation" is an understatement. What would happen in this country today if we were forced into a global war and almost every man of age was drafted or enlisted? Think about that.

I for one am VERY grateful for Pearl Harbor, it reminds my wife every year that our anniversary is days away... (yes, she is the one that forgets)

As for the purpose of the thread, My dad was in WWII (as well as Korea and Viet Nam)..

A local friend of mine posted a session with his father talking about his WWII service. I tried for years to get my dad to do this, but was never successful.
