took new sccy to range today and pins walking out

took the wifes new sccy to the range today , shot 250 rounds through it , used some steel case winchester , some whitebox , some golden bear and some hornady critical defense . it functioned perfect with all except the steel case winchester , which is junk ammo imo. tula is better than this stuff. anyway after we were done i noticed both frame pins had started walking out the front one to the right and the rear one to the left .both about a sixteenth of an inch . i verified this using pics we had made beforehand . the gun is accurate , reliable , and fun to shoot . at an awesome price . but how in the hell could they have been having this issue for a few years now and not have it figured out ? ill probably remove the pins and try some loctite but both appear to have had some sort of adhesive on them already . wtf

Are your pins straight or tapered?
You could contact SCCY and inquire about the issue and see what they say..

You just bought the gun, but by chance could it be an older gun?

not sure , it was bought a week and a half ago from Cheaper than Dirt . the thing i dont understand is this has been an issue for at least a couple of years . looks like they would have a handle on this by now . serial number begins with 541 so im assuming its pretty recent .

Did it come with a spent shell casing and a date on the envelope..
My understanding is they recently stopped doing that..

Wondering if your pins are the same tiny solid pins (3/32 dia X 15/16" long) that have been slipping since 2010/11.
Or perhaps, the newer larger solid pins (1/8 dia X 1" long) that have been recognized in some late 2017 cpx's.
I think it's safe to say that sccy has never used tapered frame pins, and never will. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Sccy's traditional solution has been to use oversize repair pins, which are just a few thousandths larger in diameter.
If they do offer you oversize pins, how do they know which pin size is used in your receiver? ... By serial number?
Curious to know the production serial number when that least expensive improvement may have been initiated.

IMO, it would be the single most obvious and stubbornly delayed revision since the 2nd generation was introduced.
Hopefully it's a sign of continued action, to address the reliability hot list of its other recurring design weaknesses.
The silence is deafening, concerning possibly the first valid attempt by sccy to cure their enduring frame pin poison.

Any recent news about sccy's move to Tennessee?
Last I heard (Apr-2017), they expected to be operational in the first half of 2018.
